Animated Today invented the Animated Theme market more than two years ago. FlashDash takes the Animated Theme concept to the next level with full screen dynamic animations which actually display underneath the Today information. These new types of Animations are called FlashDash themes.

Besides the new FlashDash theme support, FlashDash will display most of the available Animated Today themes so it can be used as your only theme viewer.

Animated Today will run existing Animated Themes faster than FlashDash since it does not need to also draw all the extended Today information.

FlashDash can be told to use Animated Today to display all the standard Animated Themes and only display static and FlashDash themes.

FlashDash includes a full feature theme manager that will preview themes and allow you to load them from any directory on your PDA.

The theme manager can differentiate between Normal, Animated, FlashDash and even Extended Themes and display them correctly.

Unlike some other theme managers, it does not create preview files on the device or need to pre-render the themes to show them.

FlashDash allows you to specify how far ahead it should look for appointments in your diary and will display them right on your Today screen.

It can look upto 14 days ahead so you will never miss another important appointment.

FlashDash will also look upto 14 days ahead for tasks that have been entered with a due date and display them in date order on your Today screen.

You can also tell FlashDash to only display tasks that do not have a due date set on them.

One of the most popular 3rd party Today plug-ins is integrated directly into FlashDash. The information can either be displayed using a standard Today plug-in look and feel or transparent icons that overlay the theme.

FlashDash will display the remaining battery power, the available internal memory, the available internal storage and the space on upto two additional storage cards.

The standard interface provided with FlashDash will display a large analogue clock in the background of the theme that can either be disabled or displayed semi-transparent.

The clock is disabled by default when showing Animated Themes but it can be turned on at any time in the Options panel.

FlashDash has an integrated Program Launcher which will display all the files and folders present in the Programs folder on your device and will let you quickly navigate and launch any application.

Because the Start Menu is easily accessible from the Today screen it automatically hides any programs present on the Start Menu. It also contains a quick launch area containing all the applications common to any device and the ability to launch FlashDash plug-ins.

FlashDash includes support for 3rd party plug-ins. These plug-ins are written in Flash and can be loaded into the interface at any time using the integrated Program Launcher.

FlashDash comes with 3 sample plug-ins as standard and others can be added simply by copying the flash movie to the plug-ins directory on your PDA.

FlashDash includes native support for Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish and Traditional Chinese languages.

Any language can be used on any device, but none Western languages require native device fonts are installed before they can be displayed. These are provided as standard on devices made in those regions or can be added by 3rd party packages..

FlashDash provides support for changing the font type used within the interface. Different font types provide flexibility when using different resolution and screen orientations.

Using technology from Ultrafonts.com, antialiased type in FlashDash actually increases performance while making text more legible. Users with western-language devices can enable smooth type in Bluesteel's Options tab.

FlashDash rotates and scales the theme to fill the entire screen so low resolution, high resolution or even extended themes will display correctly on any device in any orientation or resolution.

Normally WM2003SE devices do not perform theme scaling so a low resolution theme will only fill one quarter of the screen on a high resolution device. Also a high resolution theme will only display one quarter of the image when shown on a low resolution device. FlashDash solves all these theme translation issues instantly.
